The VPX6-215 6U VPX Carrier Card is one of a family of modules from Curtiss-Wright to employ the new open architecture VITA 46 standard. VITA 46, also known as “VPX” was collaboratively developed by COTS industry leaders which included prime military integrators to marry high-speed serial (HSS) interconnect such as Serial RapidIO (SRIO) and PCIe. It is well suited to the miltary and aerospace markets which can take advantage of and utilize this form factor and feature set in their demanding applications.
